Dr. David Beanland earned his Dental Medicine degree from Tufts, then attended Penn’s School of Medicine, earning a degree in Medicine and completing a general surgery internship at the Hospital. He has also completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency and anesthesia training. After his surgical training, he served as a Major in the U.S. Army Dental Corps. He was the base oral and maxillofacial surgeon at Ft. Irwin, Ca., and then became an assistant director at Madigan Army Medical Center, Ft. Lewis, Wa.
Mike has more than 25 years of healthcare executive leadership experience. Prior to Beacon, he served as President of USAP, a physician-owned practice dedicated to providing anesthesia services to more than 2.3 million patients annually. He was instrumental in tripling USAP’s growth to 4,000+ clinicians, and building it into an anesthesia care leader with quality and operational excellence. Before USAP, Mike served as President of HealthTronics IT Solutions and as a Senior VP at GE Healthcare.
Tony brings more than 20 years of executive healthcare leadership experience in private equity-backed and publicly traded healthcare companies. Most recently, Tony served as Chief Operating Officer for Comprehensive Eyecare Partners, a private equity-backed ophthalmology company. During his tenure, the company doubled in size to $200M+ in revenue and 100+ providers. Prior to joining Comprehensive Eyecare, Tony served as Chief Operating Officer for West Dermatology.
Before joining Beacon in 2021, Aaron worked with Medstar Health in roles including Marketing & Business Development, Recruitment, and Regional Director of Operations for Medstar National Rehabilitation Network. During his 12-year tenure, he oversaw many high-priority transformation projects including the expansion of operations from Washington, D.C., to a partner hospital in Baltimore.
Andrea boasts over 25 years of leadership experience in oral surgery practice management. Prior to joining Beacon, she filled several key operations roles at Atlanta Oral & Facial Surgery, the largest oral and maxillofacial surgery practice in the country. Among her roles there, she served as both the Director of Human Resources and Chief Operating Officer.
Michael has been a healthcare executive for nearly 20 years. Prior to joining Beacon, he was CFO and CAO of GMR, the largest medical transportation provider in the world, caring for more than 5 million patients annually. Before GMR, Michael worked as a Director of Finance for Brand Energy & Infrastructure Services (now BrandSafway). Prior to that, he served in a variety of managerial positions with Delta Air Lines. He started his career as a CPA for Deloitte in the Audit and Assurance function.
Scott has 25+ years of experience in oral surgery. Previously, he worked as Managing Partner at Brady, Price & Associates, a leading oral surgery practice brokerage and transition consulting firm in Los Gatos, Ca. He has provided more than 450 oral surgeons with professional consultative services focused on transition strategy, buy-in/out transactions, partnership formation, practice valuation, and associate recruitment. Prior to that, he was the director of sales and marketing at Hals Med-Dent Supply Company.
Dr. Paul “PJ” Schaner, has practiced with Atlanta Oral & Facial Surgery in Marietta, Ga., for 20+ years and serves as CEO. He earned a BS in Biology from Denison, then received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree and completed a general practice residency in Hospital Dentistry at Pitt. He then completed his surgical training at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, followed by a fellowship and advanced surgical training in cosmetic and reconstructive facial surgery.
Having spent the majority of her career in HR leadership roles in the tech industry, Laura made the switch to the health sciences sector about two years ago. She has extensive experience in high-growth environments, both through organic and M&A activity. She has led HR teams around the world, playing a key role in multiple successful business transformation initiatives.
Dr. Stark joined Maryland Oral Surgery Associates in 1994. He graduated from the University of Maryland and the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, and completed residency in Anesthesiology at The Medical College of Pennsylvania, followed by a residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at The Mount Sinai Hospital in New York.
For 20 years, Dr. Stark has been recognized as a Top Oral Surgeon by Washingtonian Magazine. He maintains a private practice and hospital-based practice with an interest in orthognathic and dental implant surgery, and serves as the Chief Medical Officer for MOSA.
Rachelle brings more than a decade of specialty operations leadership experience in oral surgery, endodontics, periodontics, orthodontics, pediatrics and hygiene. She also brings an additional five years of financial operations leadership experience to her role at Beacon. Immediately before joining Beacon, she served as the Specialty Regional Director at Pacific Dental Services.
Dr. Lee R. Walker is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon, receiving his dental degree from UOP in SF, and his medical degree and oral and maxillofacial surgery certificate from UT Southwestern. He trained in oral surgery at Parkland Memorial Hospital and completed his residency at Methodist Hospitals of Dallas. He is a Diplomate of ABOMS, a Fellow of AAOMS, and a member of the Academy of Osseointegration. He has been in practice for 20+ years, and has published numerous articles.
